Protecting Our Land & Managing Growth

Stopped the 143rd Street expansion from its originally intended limits, from Lemont through Parker Road.

Within days of taking her oath, brought the Hadley/Parker/Chi-Bloomington Road fight into the Village's jurisdiction — stopping Will County's plan to expand the road and destroy tree canopy, community character, and nature in Harmony.

Won approval to expand and contract a Cedar Road sewer line extension, unlocking potential development that had been stalled for years.
✓
Annexed properties to expand the Village's footprint — while maintaining its low-density vision.

Water Independence & the Environment

✓
Negotiated the waste water treatment property from an original asking price of $7 million down to $4 million — a site that meets the Village's future waste water needs.

Put the Village on the path to becoming waste water and drinking water independent — less reliant on outside utility companies, and in a stronger position to negotiate with sister communities.

Continued to formally object to IAWC rate increases, and introduced utility reform.
✓
Stopped multiple data centers and a solar farm from finding their way into the community.

Maintained Homer Glen's Dark Sky community status.

Parks & Community

✓
Set a goal of 500 trees planted village-wide since taking office — on track to hit the mark by the end of 2026 — and distributed over 1,000 sapling "stick trees" for residents to plant themselves.

Launched business promotion efforts, including coupon books and PR programs to support local business.
✓
Implemented community recognition programs that put residents first.
✓
Added a sensory hour to Village events, and continued to improve Veteran Boxes and related events.

Safety & Civility

Maintained Homer Glen's standing among the Top 10 safest communities in Illinois.

Worked with law enforcement to show LPR cameras can be used effectively to stop and solve crime — while protecting resident privacy.

Built civility within Village government, and civility with our sister municipalities.
✓
Actively engaged on state legislation affecting Homer Glen, including the Build Act, LGDF, and open space policy.
